Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Question. Does anyone know regarding Pay yourself back on restaurants, which ends 6/30,  does that mean you must process a ‘pay yourself back’ by 6/30 or just make purchases by 6/30 and still have 90 days to redeem?

Thank you so much!

You must redeem by then. If you look at your account you should see that those charges have 10 days left to redeem even if the were just recently charged.

BTW congrats on your first post. That was a long time coming!

Question- I am not a big traveler, I have 100k+ points on my account as does my wife (200k+ total). any reason besides the extra value on travel not to downgrade both our accounts? Tia

You won't be able to transfer points to travel partners.

You can still transfer points to travel partners if you downgrade to CSP

That's correct but I assumed the OP was downgrading to a no-fee card card given he said he was giving up the extra value of booking travel. I guess that is still true if he downgrades to CSP but was assuming that is not what OP is referring to.

You can downgrade now and when you're ready to take a big trip you can upgrade again.
The downside is, that you'll lose out on the HOT, HURRY deals.

Does it make sense to go for the preferred or a free card? To elaborate, does the preferred offer any significant benefits besides a (smaller) increase in travel value? Tia

Has anyone heard if Chase will extend the Airbnb reimbursement past 6/30/22?

They extended it until 9/30. Interesting because IIRC, this happened once before and the purchases for those 3 months all expired upon the expiration date, and then the program renewed for new purchases starting the 1st.

how the 300$ travel credit work?
do i apply it to individual charges that i pick or does it automatically credit the first 300 i spend?

if i want to make a car rental through the portal and get the 10% points, will i be able to or would it automatically be credited and therefore not earn points?

Is the $15 insta credit discussed anywhere? I only just noticed it. Using + membership and pickup could make this worth close to the full $15
