Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

You can just generate a genuineticket.xml file, and back that up somewhere, and you will have the means to install it whenever you want
Upgrading and rolling back should work as well.

I was wondering about that

They are shoving it down your throat now.
https://bgr.com/2016/05/25/microsoft-windows-10-upgrade-trick/
I had this on my desktop computer. It just started installing it when I wasn't there.

If it is in middle of installing and you don't want it you can just wait until it reaches the user agreement page and then don't accept the terms and conditions and they will send you back to what you previously had.

For free?  Not sure if it's possible, but you can try this:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/windows10upgrade

Refrain from upgrading to latest build 1607, for now.

You can still upgrade and receive free activation via genuineticket method.
Instructions are long, so i'll post it only if requested.  did above link work?
