Looks like $90 to me.

PM me if you want a 20% off invite coupon.

Do we know what they serve for this tasting menu?

Their menu I'm very familiar with.  If anyone calls to find out what you get with the tasting menu let us know!

I just called them up. You get Wine, Appetizer, Entree & Dessert. This usually goes for $150 for 2, with the deal it is $90 for 2. (Their number is 310-247-1239)

Did they say which Wine, Appetizer, Entree & Dessert you get?  Is there a list to choose from (Like Talia's supplied) or is it whatever leftovers they have that day?

what does a choice mean? a choice of all the leftovers of that day?
In order to understand recursion, you first need to understand recursion.

Touché.

Never heard of paying tax to the certificate issuing company.  Does Gilt always do that?  I don't know of any of the other companies that make you pay tax up front.

It seems wrong as you are not supposed to collect tax on a GC, which is why nobody else ever does.
You pay tax when you redeem the thing.  Imagine if we had to pay tax whenever we bought a GC!

The good thing I guess is that LG can't try to tax you on the pre-discounted amount.
But if you wind up not using it you are also out the tax in addition to the $72/$90.

It's whatever (leftovers) the chef wants to give you on any particular night.

Anecdotal story.
My family went to cousins in LA for Pesach in 1996.  We went to LG where I got a delicious Gondola burger with pasta.  Went back after Pesach and I ordered the same thing.  Except this time it tasted funny to me.  Waiter claim he thought I ordered a turkey burger.  Waiter brings a replacement burger which is the smallest burger the world has ever seen.  When asked about the size of the burger the waiter fessed up that the kitchen was out of ground beef.

That game may have worked on most 11 year olds, but not this one ;D

At least they didn't get you some ground beef from the nearby McDonalds.
