status - CO silver vs. US gold ?

hi im flying with continental... i'm silver on continental and have US gold, my question  is do they give pref. to their own silver over diff carrier gold, and if i do put in my US number will it show on their system as gold or i have to show my card anyhow?

Depends for what.
CO Silver: 2 free 50 lb bags, elite access, free exit row 24 hours in advance, free space-available upgrade 24 hours in advance, $50 confirmed standby fee.
US Gold: 3 free 70 lb. bags and elite access, $25 confirmed standby fee. No exit row/upgrade.

I think all CO elites can get US exit rows at the airport, but its YMMV.
Upgrades for CO elite are much harder, but if you get a great agent they can upgrade you.

so basically with my wife CO-sl and me US-gld on the same reservation have the best of both worlds?

would i get the bags by just showin the card or it has to be in my reservation? and just put my CO/s in!?
