There doesn't seem to be a thread for this, so I'll start one.

Just bought my son a Sandisk Clip Jam. When I tried to load a Baruch Levine cd on it, it comes up as Jimmy Levine with song titles like "I want you" and "love boat." The actual songs that play are Baruch Levine. I tried renaming the files but didn't work. Any advice?

Did you rip the cd to your computer using Windows Media Player? It has a setting where it looks online for album info (track titles, authors, etc). I've had it pull up some wrong info like that before.

Try playing the CD on your computer and see if the track info is wrong. If yes, you either have to change it manually (in WMP or in a program like MP3Tag), or you can delete the CD from your computer, uncheck that setting, and rip it again.

Confirm ID3 tags are correct using PC.  (i like mp3tag)  (As etech0 suggested)
Otherwise I'd try to force a rebuild of the database.  (i.e., set it to msc mode, connect to computer then disconnect, or, insert memory card)

It's probably a tagging issue though

etech0 was very clear, happens to me a lot ,it happens when it searches the Internet for the album info!

It looks like the Sansa Clip (Jam) has a micro sd card slot. I'm looking for a model with a regular sd card slot. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I doubt you will find anything recent with that. It would make the device much bigger.

Even if they are, it is sitting in the device and whatever is on it should be on a computer anyhow. The worst thing is you will need to replace it.

Sandisk micro sd cards are heat, shock, and water proof. ( I even washed and dried their clip zip mp3 once and it came ot working. )
