Does anybody here do that combo? would love to try it but having some difficulties.
1) Getting the same number to ring on both
2) Getting text messages on both
Getting text messages on both, there is a work around to use a tablet at home with icloud. The phone number issue is the greater issue.
Here is what worked for me. Verizon Postpaid only.
I have an iPhone for my main number, then I bought from Verizon a Palm Companion phone
https://www.verizon.com/smartphones/palm-phone/, when you activate that it will be a "Number Share" meaning it shares the phone number of my main phone. (Incoming and outgoing calls will be the same number of your main Phone, but text will go to a different number)
Once activated I took the Palm Sim card and put that into my iPhone and the iPhone Sim into any flip Phone - so the iPhone now has the Phone calls with my Main number and the Flip phone has Talk and Text with my main number.
One the iPhone you can then sign into your main number with Verizon Messages. Working for me seamlessly for 2+ years.
