You're saying that it only considers it a duplicate if the file name is the same? That is obviously not very useful and not the only way this program works, maybe that is one option to do it like that.

Auslogics Duplicate File Finder can certainly also find duplicates based on contents (hash).

Seems like that is more audio-focused, and wont work for other file types... (but better for music collection...)
