If you're technical enough you can already use Android apps on Windows 11.

I only need a tiny amount of occasional usage and last time I tried bluestacks it was a whole process to turn on, hogged tons of resources, and was buggy and crashy. Hoping for something lightweight and easy to turn on and off.

Any specific recommendations?

Bluestacks is indeed a hog. When my mother a"h was in an assisted living facility, I needed an Android emulator installed on a computer, so that I can run Google Home and remotely control her Lenovo Smart Display, which enabled video communication with her without needing a smartphone (which she vehemently resisted). I put an old computer there, and Bluestacks was as slow as it gets. At some point, I switched to a different emulator which was mostly gaming-focused (I can't recall the name at the moment).

Would you recommend it? I'm kind of liking the idea of something browser-based, since my Chrome extensions sync between computers.

Not that I need it anymore at this point  but out of curiosity can it bridge networks? If needed in order to run Google Home (or other Android apps) to control devices on the local network (by remotely logging into the computer that's running the emulator) this is a critical feature.

Can I just rip an MP3 of the tapes and email it you? That might be easier.

Most email providers have an attachment size limit. Additionally, most of them don't allow you to send/receive executable files.

Most email providers have an attachment size limit. Additionally, most of them don't allow you to send/receive executable files.

There are some easy solutions to the restrictions on executables. Rename the extension, zip (sometimes will need to add encryption).

Though I hope @dsprod does realize that email is one of the worst possible methods to send files.

While it seems to be cloudy now in Brooklyn, what if those clouds dissipate? And how would you know if the same clouds would reach you?

I have heard of various virtual file sharing websites, if any of those are available to you, let us know and someone might post for you.
