mostly backup for files
using to backup pictures and documents
Where do you want to backup to? Just a mirror copy, or incremental backups?

I've been very happy with CrashPlan
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

If you just want to mirror the files, use a simple batch file to copy the files to the cloud storage's local folder, and use task scheduler to run it every so often.

I'm at work so I can't explain the steps, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

I just started trying out Startmenu8. It's for Windows 8 or 8.1 users that are looking for the traditional start menu. I'm surprised it hasn't really been discussed on DDF; although I'm sure many DDFers use it. Does anyone know if/how I can still view the metro page if startmenu8 is installed?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I think DH recommends it.  I've installed ClassicShell for 10's of people and all are very happy.

both are good options. The only reason I use classic shell over start menu is ninite.

Ninite is not compatible with Startmenu8?

Why don't you all just upgrade to Windows 10 and have the built in start menu?

Why upgrade an OS when you can install a small program?

It's not such a small program it runs thru the entire windows it's a very complex program which is the reason I don't have it
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I'm saying it's extremely complex and runs thru the entire windows and such a program not made by Microsoft is a scary thing to put on your computer

You may be surprised, but it's running pretty smooth.
