I'm trying to figure out how Ctrl q is easier than Ctrl c.You use your left pinky for Ctrl? Which finger for q?
I'm guessing left thumb for ctrl and index finger for q/w. Not using "home keys".
Just saw this thread so prob been mentioned before but I’ll share anyways: Power toys by Microsoft is an excellent toolbox of goodies for pcI had a problem- I do a lot of copy paste at work and the stretch for ctrl c and ctrl v for my fingers was hurting (surface pro). (Yes I utilize windows + paste as well but when I don’t it’s a stretch)Enter power toysOne of the features is to replace certain keys or shortcuts with another key or shortcut you decide. So I now use ctrl q for copy and ctrl w for paste. Try it on a keyboard it’s a whole lot easier and quicker than the regular way Eta: my bad it was literally just mentioned a few posts back. Sorry!
Different (key)strokes for different folks.I use my pinky for control a lot. Mostly for moving the cursor one word at a time and for cut/copy/paste
