What about compared to this one for the same price?

https://www.costco.com/lenovo-ideapad-5i-15.6%22-touchscreen-laptop---11th-gen-intel-core-i7-1165g7---geforce-mx450---1080p---windows-11.product.100794677.html
Biggest difference is size which is very important to pay attention to, as it usually bumps up the price. Presumably the idea pad Slim, is slimmer too. This one look good too but is seemingly a step down in processor (not sure specifics but it seems like EVO is better) you get only half the storage (512gb vs 1tb) but you do gain a discrete graphics card, but a slightly dimmer and lower res display. The question, as always, is ultimately, what are you planning on using the laptop for?

Planning to use for work: multiple excel sheets and pdfs simultaneously. Long battery life is also important

Either should be fine for that purpose. Very hard to judge battery life based on specs alone but the EVO processor may have an edge on that. Is there any other things that matter to you? Touchscreen? Portability? screen size? ports?

Appreciate your help. Portability is important and looks like the 14” weighs less so that’s a plus. Only downside I see with that model is the lack of ports and specifically no HDMI

Looking for good laptop for remote office work. Must have mobile broadband capability. Any suggestions? (I don't know anything about laptops) Money not a factor.
Tia!
after doing some research, seems like my options are Tab S8 +, galaxy book go 5g, and a Lenovo flex.
Any insight?

The Tab S8+ isn’t a laptop, it doesn’t run Windows. It’s an Android tablet.

Pretty sure almost all business laptops from the major manufacturers have the option to add a mobile broadband card.

Verizon said they could only service those 3

The person you spoke to was trying to sell you one of those three, and doesn’t even know one of them isn’t a laptop.

Here’s a Dell page telling you about their mobile broadband modem, it specifically mentions supporting Verizon Wireless:
