I got a heter from a Rav to take a migraine pill (Tylenol/caffiene/aspirin), on tisha b'av itself, (no water, outside of pill bitter) (ask LOR), first fast in a long time with no headache.

Because it was nidche? I say it's all placebo effect.

1. the Rav didn't say only bec. it was nidche, but i should have asked to clarify. 2. I honestly believe it wasn't placebo, you have no idea how great my headaches are on taaneisim. I think the caffiene was the most important ingredient in my case.

I heard you can put in a little dish soap (lemon flavor dish soap, might actually taste better than salt water ). Me personally I (warning don't read further if you get easily grossed out) pooled some spit in my mouth. Afterwards s/o told me that even according to the majority who hold you can swallow your spit on Yom Kippur, R' Moshe Sternbuch holds that even acc. to them, you can't intentionally swallow your spit. I'm not sure if this is just a Yom Kippur Shalah. (The Briskers have tissues by their seat, and spit in it the whole Yom Kippur.)

I once heard a story of a chusid tht came into a pharmacy in wmsbg and asked for 500 pieces tylenol w caffeine suppositories, the pharmacist opens a pair of eyes on him,  Y SHOULD ONE NEED FIVE HUNDRED?  He said tht his father passed away yom kiper and he would like to make a kiddush in shull in honor of the yurtzeit and since its yom kiper, he is giving out tylenol .... Instead of whiskey and mezones! !!
