Amex Platinum 100,000 reversal/takeback

Woke up to Amex reversing the 100,000 points I earned. The offer was for 100,000 miles for $3,000 in spending within the first 3 months. I did what I was supposed to do and spent the money, and was credited the 100,000 points, but yesterday they reversed the 100,000 points that they awarded me. Called them, and they said it has happened to many accounts. What can I do at this point to ensure that these points will be returned to me? TIA

Rep stated that after reviewing the account, the notes stated that I returned some items. When the Rep looked at the account, she saw that there was plenty of spend over the $3,000, that would have counted toward the requirement, and that there does not seem to be a reason that they reversed the points. She made a case and gave me a reference number, and sent it to corporate to sort out. Told me I will have an answer within a week. Really hoping this does get sorted out! 100,000 points is not a game! This is big money!!!
