When did you see these restaurants?There was nothing mehadrin in TLV when I was there in 08/07, 08/09, or 05/10.
the pizza hut in the food court is mehadrin badatz beit yosef...great food

That is ridiculous. I have been to tel aviv, and there are plenty of kosher restaraunts. It is a huge city, and almost all jewish, with a large frum population. I don't know why you trust that story over me.

mehadrin badatz beit yosef isn't used by most ashkenazim who are particualr on having a mehadrin hechsher, but, as with all things of this nature, ymmv
