The cheshbon is that you upgrade, get the points, buy the AA GC's do the Platinum Guy's Great Mehalech, then downgrade back or close and get the Annual Fee of the Plat reimbursed. If cancelled within 60 days you get it all back; if more than 60 days it is prorated.

Wow. Didn't know you could do that multiple times with the same card.  The questions is begged-whyd you wait to long to reupgrade? Essentially the question is how churnable is this??

I tried the pggm method prbl 2 weeks ago and still didn't get credited, I thought that it had to do with the pggm taking longer

Technically I upgraded once in my first year of the card and once in my second year, just I did it the end of the first year and beginning of the second year

It went like this.

Upgraded through the link here last year, downgraded within 60 day. In Summer one day I logged in and saw an offer, so I did it. Downgraded after points posted. Upgraded through the link 45 days ago, nothing posted. It may be that if it's offered upon login you'll get it, but it's definitely not churnable.

So you are on your 3rd time?
Did you get the pggm credit the 2nd time around?
My points posted a few days after the statement closed, so maybe wait a few more days and you might still get the points
