No experience in this situation

I upgraded from gold to plat even before the statement closed, and when the statement closed, I called in that they should release the points (they will do it once the balance is paid, you need to wait until the next afternoon when their system updates). I got all my points.

I got today my $200 UA gift card credit. Charge was this Sunday-16, credit posted on the 19th ( I only saw it today, checked yesterday wasn't there, might be I checked before 1PM EST). I'm too new to Amex to know exactly when it updates, but it's around 1PM EST.

I just downgraded to Gold today.

I have one more question. Amex told me that the Plat card will be active until I activate my new gold which is coming soon, so I'm thinking to never activate the new gold card, leave the Plat card active, and get lounge bennies, any thoughts?

If your card is still active, you may be paying the AF.

You still can get lounge access with your Platinum card for 4(CMIIW) years.

No pending, it goes straight to your total available points a few days afterward (IME).

I am waiting for my $200 airline credit I made the airline charge on the 19 and I still don't show up the 200 credit from AE
when I did it for my wife account It took 2 days should I be worrying about the credit or its normal ?

Trying to downgrade to green. They say that besides for the annual fee, there is a separate enrollment in MR for $40 with the green.
Is it necessary to do that for the 5k points? Also, is it necessary to spend on the green to get the 5k?

Yes, your Business Platinum Card is eligible to be transferred to a Business Green Card.

There is an annual Membership Fee of $75.00 for the Business Green Card. Additionals are fee free.

Also, there is a $40.00 Membership Rewards program fee for enrollment in the Membership Rewards program on the Business Green Card. If you enroll your Card in the Membership Rewards program, you earn one (1) Membership Rewards point for every eligible dollar spent on the Business Green Card.

If you do not enroll in Membership Rewards program, you will have 30 days from the product change date to use your points remaining in your Membership Rewards account and if the points are not used within that timeframe all points will be forfeited.

Please note that the account number will not change as a result of the product change. The four digit CID number on the front of the Card will change. If you have any recurring billings that require the CID, you may need to contact the Merchant to update their information once the new Card is received.

I would also like you to know that on your Business Platinum Card, we had eliminated the foreign transaction fee. Since you would be moving to a Business Green Card, there will be a foreign transaction fee of 2.7% charged on all charges made in foreign currency.

If you wish to proceed with this product change, simply reply to this email with your confirmation, and I'll be happy to process your request. Please do confirm if you wish to be enrolled in the Membership Rewards program on the Business Green Card.

There has only been one report of this $40 fee. Many others have done it fee-free.
