AmEx mistakenly credited me twice for the Plat annual fee, therefore I had a credit on my account of approx $2,000 (includes 7 AUs).
I livechatted with AmEx a few weeks ago offering me points (20K) or $200 credit for being an honest consumer. This past weekend I noticed the credit had not yet been reversed. Therefore, I chatted with AmEx again. The rep told me the reason why nothing was reversed yet was because the $200 credit is equivalent to 40,000 MR points not 20K as the original rep mentioned. I was not going to fight with this. I received a call from an AmEx manager today as I was running into a meeting and have yet to receive a callback. Logged into my account to notice not just the 40,000 MR points deposited but a $200 credit as well. Has anyone else had any similar experiences?
