Did they let u take off and land the first lesson? How much did u pay per lesson?
I am talking about 20 years ago, and it was $50 per hour of flight - who knows what it is now...
On my first flight, the instructor let me take the controls when in the air, and it was worth every penny! Subsequent flights included takeoffs & landings. The most fun was "stalls", where you try to recover from the lack of lift - and when you master that you are a real pilot!
My best advice is to try it once, and decide for yourself if it's worth continuing.
