Than u make a settlement for 2k

Your response is not on topic. The discussion is about having 10k + accounts with Chase to override credit declines.

It was a question, not a statement.

And the answer is u make a settlement for 2k and after 3-5 years you all clean and could reapply.

Again, the question was about whether 10k in CC debt qualified as 10k to override the credit denial, your solution does not answer the question. The question isn't about what to do with 10k in CC debt.

Even though Chase closed down all my credit cards about a 1 1/2 years ago, I thought that perhaps as the credit crunch is easing and with the time passed, I'll give it another shot and I applied for the Continental OnePass Plus MasterCard. Well, I was denied again. But what surprised me most was the letter I got in the mail today from them:
Now what can they possibly want from me? I never paid them late once. I gave them plenty of business. When they initially closed down my CC's the main reason I was told was that I had too much overall credit compared to income. It's one thing to deny credit, but to tell me that I had an unsatisfactory relationship? There has to be a way to get to the bottom of this, especially since so many airlines are partnering with Chase. I know a number of people have been blacklisted by Chase and would love to hear if and how anyone got out of this as well as anyone's suggestions.

I still have bank accounts with them and get the CO promo miles.
Bringing up an old topic here, but just curious has anyone delat with this recently? can anyone give any updated tip/suggestions/experiences? tia.
