I am thinking of extending my house.  I own a cape and the 2nd floor isn't a full floor, just covering part of the house. Anyone have any experience to estimate how much (ballpark) it would cost to essentially pop out the roof and make it a full floor. (no new foundation. Just building on top of existing structure a full floor)

There's so many factors you wouldn't be able to get a close to correct quote just from this post.

It's really not too hard to do. If you're somewhat handy, you could watch a few youtube videos/google and do it yourself (although you probably want another set of hands to help).
