Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

i have 3 Chase accounts that earn UR points: 1 Chase Sapphire Reserve, and 2 Chase Ink cards.

Since Chase Sapphire Reserve has a 1.5 cents per dollar redemption option, can I move my points over from my Chase Ink cards (using the "combine points" feature) to the Chase Sapphire card, so that all my points will have the 1.5 cents per dollar redemption option?

I called Chase to ask that question, and they said yes, but it seems impossible to me that they would do that.
Please let me know if you have done this.

Now that my statement closed for 2016 on the reserve card. Can I start collecting on my $300 travel before 2017 or I need to wait for the actual new calendar year to start before I can redeem my $300?

what does this mean -the part i underlined (from dan's original post about this card)?:

"Previously it’s always been worth transferring Chase points into real airline miles and hotel points. But at about 1.5 cents per dollar it can start making sense to consider redeeming points directly for paid travel without transferring them into miles. That’s especially true as those fares, as opposed to traditional mileage tickets, also earn additional miles."

if i'm redeeming via chase for paid travel, how are those fares earning additional miles?

Because any travel redeemed through UR is considered a cash purchase on the airlines/hotels end, thus earning you miles/points for the flight/stay

You don't get your car rental membership benefits if you booked thru CSR travel website?
I have Avis preferred membership and booked on CSR site. The reservation is not found on Avis account unless I manually add the confirmation number I got from Chase. I called Avis and the rep said since this is booked thru third party and not directly from us, you don't get your preferred membership benefit. Is this true? I thought CSR gets you automatic preferred status but the rep said he doesn't see preferred benefit info on this reservation. Strange!

Where do you add it? They don't even call it wizard number.
I am unable to see or do anything regarding the avis rental booked from Chase on my avis.com account. I can find the reservation only if i enter the chase rental confirmation number. How do I know i will be able to take advantage of my avis preferred benefit when i am at the location? The rep said no avis benefit if booked from third party.

Actually had this happen to me just now with Hertz. Hertz found the res but they couldnt add it. I called Chase, they couldnt add it either, said i would have to cancel and re-book.

Their loss as I saved $40 doing so

it doesnt count but the $300 TC does so you are just $42.77 short are you sure you didnt make any small payments during the month? or maybe you got a refund on something after you got to $4000?
