hi

i had a small biking accident today (BH all ok!) and had an emergency dentist visit for $700.
i called chase sapphire about making a travel insurance claim, but my trip is only a 4-day trip and not the required minimum 5 days.
chase said that I'm free to go ahead and file the claim and see what happens, but they can't predict what the insurance adjusters will decide.

does anyone have any experience with filing a claim and getting the money, where the trip is less than 5 days?

thanks

Did you fly somewhere?

Never heard of that 5 day rule before.

Do they both Global Entry and TSAPre randomly require follow up interviews or is that only GE and TSAPre never requests second interview? Any other reason someone would choose TSAPre over GE (other than fee difference)? TIA

yes that is true
Does this apply also in a case where it's points + cash? (Or is there no such option?)

it doesn't matter. A UR booking is considered cash to the hotel. But you booked on a 3rd party site so you don't earn stay credits or points. (Found this out from the Jetblue promo)

GE includes TSAPre.
I know that. I'm wanted to know if there was any reason someone would want to do TSAPre over GE (maybe because you don't need an interview to renew TSAPRE?)

But when booking thru a brick & mortar Travel agent who books it thru the official channels you do get credits/points

So my wife already had TSA precheck before she received the reserve and I don't have the TSA precheck. Can I somehow get free TSA precheck with her card? Can I apply with her reserve through CUR? How would it work?

IIRC you should have no problem since the charge will appear as a charge for the TSA there is no way for the CSR to know whom it was charged for. IOW just pay for your Pre check with your wife's card and it will be credited.

+1, although I think you may need to pay for PreCheck at appt (vs Global Entry is paid online) and I'm not sure if they'll give you a prob using a card with someone else's name
