Is there a reason why MB points for a Catergory 3 hotel (17,500/night + one free night) would be better to use then CSR UR points that would be 7,800/night?

If you care whether the booking is via Expedia or the hotel directly. Hotels can refuse to honor elite status if booked through an OTA.

I want to verify my understanding of CSR lost luggage benefit. If the airline lost a bag with 5k of items inside, and paid me 3k for it, Chase will pay another 2k? If the airline only reimburses 1k, Chase will pay max of 3k?

They ask if a report was filed with police. Is that necessary?

Anything else to know or be careful about regarding filing the claim?

Look at how many points you have of each. IMO is easier to earn UR points then MB. Despite this, I still value UR points over MB.

I had my CL set to 1k on my Reserve, now looking through my account information I see that it's set to 2k. Is it regular that chase will make CL higher without any notice?

In this case (csr with low credit line) it's pretty common to put it up to 2/3k

I got declined for an insurance claim from a cancelled flight booked on the ink preferred. Is there any small chance that I can request it to be reconsidered? TIA
