iPod classic
« on: February 15, 2021, 11:28:30 AM »
I have a i pod classic and iTunes with all my kids music and stories on it. Works great.  I bought a 2nd iPod and want to add all of the content on to it. It seems that iTunes wont allow me to connect another device to my account. Is there a work around?

Is it a new ipod, or was it used? If it was connected to a Mac it may not sync. You should have the option to wipe the Ipod and then it will work. https://www.mobikin.com/idevice/fix-ipod-not-syncing.html#:~:text=The%20possible%20reasons%20for%20iPod%20not%20syncing%3A&text=-%20The%20version%20of%20your%20iPod,or%20"Sync%20Apple%20Music".

Wasn't there a bunch of different programs to transfer stuff to or from it, like iripper or something like that?

They are for getting songs from an ipod. The best way to put music into an ipod is still itunes.

While others work, on the older ipods they can cause issues like data corruption in the future duplication of songs, wrong titles. The best one I know of is ifunbox but it has become awful. If you don't want to use itunes at all consider installing rockbox which allows drag and drop
