So I would like to get the LG classic. It's only going to be used for talk and text. The problem is that the area where it'll be used doesn't have good service except for Verizon. Based on the last few comments it seems it can't be used directly with Verizon themselves. Anyone know how good tracfone service is for talk and text compared to Verizon. Is it the exact same?

Although there is a slight difference between Verizon direct and Verizon's MVNO (like Tracfone. See here: https://bestmvno.com/compare/verizon-mvnos/), I don't think you'll ever see a difference.

Not sold anymore. Street price is over $300. Going to be replaced with the LG Wine 2 LTE (Exalt 2 LTE?)

What's the problem with the LG Wine 2 LTE phone?
It's a very nice and decent phone, IMO. The software of the LG Wine 2 LTE is almost identical to the old LG Exalt LTE.
I have no problem replacing the old, big, no outside screen LG Exalt LTE with the new sleek LG Wine 2 LTE (with its small-but-working outside screen).

It's a very nice and decent phone, IMO. The software of the LG Wine 2 LTE is almost identical to the old LG Exalt LTE.
I have no problem replacing the old, big, no outside screen LG Exalt LTE with the new sleek LG Wine 2 LTE (with its small-but-working outside screen).

I think everyone wants to see the phone work with other carriers like the vn220 did. Unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon. The only company that can unlock the wine 2 to work with other carriers is tracfone.

LG Classic is probably the best (not a sluggish) but it's not available for AT&T or TMobile anyway.

Right I'd have to switch to tracfone if I go with that one. Interesting that it's the best because it's also the cheapest!

Cheapest because it's carrier locked, so it's not because it's really cheaper.

Has anyone had success using the schok phone with Verizon Mvnos? It used to work for me with page plus but it is no longer working

They were supposed to roll out an update to fix the issue. Check your phone.

I have, there is no new update. The last one was oct 23 2020. I was never able to activate the page plus sim in the schok phone, I activated it in a different Verizon phone and then put it in the schok phone. It worked for the entire month until the renewal date. Every month by my renewal date the sim had to be in the Verizon phone in order for the monthly plan to renew and then I could put it back in the schok phone. This past renewal date I did what I have been doing, and after the plan renewed in the Verizon phone I put it back in the schok phone. I kept on getting a message when trying to place calls “the sim is not in the phone that it was registered with, please return it to the phone it was registered with to resolve the issue

Please report it to support@schokgear.com. They promised an update to fix this issue. Customer requests can make things move quicker
