I was paying my bills online for my AMEX Biz Gold when this offer popped up. I've never been targeted like this before.

The issue is that I have already had the Biz Plat card which I cancelled for a prorated refund 6 months ago.

- Any idea on whether or not I would get this 50,000 point bonus again?

- And would I be able to cancel for a prorated refund again?

- Anyone else been targeted online like this?

FWIW I have a personal platinum card with a huge spend on it...

1) doesn't make a difference

2) if it's an upgrade bonus and not new card you will get it.

3) if you cancel writhin the 30 days, yes.

I've got to cancel within 30 days now?

Meaning it's all or nothing? Seems pretty flagrant if I cancel within 30 days.... whereas if I let it run for a few months in good faith and then cancelled they'd be less upset. Is this new?

Also, is there any way to negotiate these upgrades on the phone to get to a higher bonus for upgrading?

Anyone with DPs on AMEX fighting back against those that cancel within the 30 days? I would guess they just wouldn't post the points....

It's still a nice deal with the $200 credits... and probably not worth pushing. But it's 50,000 points of $250 when you don't use any of the other benefits (if you already have a Platinum card...)

Got the offer on 2 cards in my amex offers but when I click upgrade now it says system currently not responding and I should call in. When I call in they say they dont see it. How do I proceed?

I got the offer on a bus green card I recently downgraded from plat after getting the 50k bonus. Is upgrading again and getting another 50k bonus gonna risk an fr or shutdown?

I got this offer on a gold business card that I have with a bunch of additional cards on the account , if I upgrade what happens to the additional cards on the account ? Will they bill me a fee for each one ?

They will automatically become platinum, so you have to call them afterwards to change them to green

Just got targeted and upgraded mine and dw's amex bgr to platinum. For my my wife, I also added pay over time so that should add another 10k points. Good Stuff.
