Mad Surfing BBQ Brisket or BLT
What's the difference between the plans? They look identical... And what exactly does 4750 mean?

The difference is the way the calls are routed, and there's some kind of difference in the data as well. I don't know how the technical differences translate in the real world.

4750 means 4750 minutes, 4750 texts, and 4.75gb data.

So I need 2GB of data per month, and 2000-3000 minutes. I thought Surfing Reuben was the best option for me, which is unlimited everything, but this certainly seems to be the better option. Am I missing something?

Lol, I actually did miss it  :(  Although it wasn't because I didn't try in time, for some reason it wasn't recognizing that I had a CC on file, so it kept rejecting me, then it disappeared at exactly 1am (EST). Oh well. How often do these promos come around?

Project Fi data only sim
According to their website "Eligibility: You can add another device by ordering a data-only SIM as long as you have service activated with Project Fi.
Does that mean that you can only get a data-only Sim as a secondary device in your plan?

Project fi is too expensive.  Either freedom pop free or t-mobile $10 line.

Wase uses nothing at all, so dont even count more that 30MB (max 150MB) per month.
@sillypainter SIM only plan is $10/GB. That's 30 cents a month! And...
I have freedompop over 2 years,  I have opened with them about 20 accounts (for other people)  I can say one thing,  their costumer service is HORRIBLE many employees have no idea what they are doing,  I usually don't bother calling the when I have a issue with a phone I just dispute the charge,  it's ridiculous to deal with them.
I'm guessing Project Fi is decent service.

I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Sorry to hear.

It's hard to predict when this (or any) promo will come back, but if you're okay with a 4,000 plan or even a 3,000, there's a good chance something will come up within a few weeks.

Sign up for their promotional emails so you'll find out in advance.

It seems from the site that for members to upgrade you have today as well to do so (might need an invite?)

1. I want to use a dumbphone
2. I like verizon

Freedompop should be your best option.  It's free.
Is it possible to use freedom pop on a dumb phone ?

Are you sure? IIRC they guzzle data.

for most people not at all.

what is it downloading already? maps how big can that be. also most people use it for the same route every day so it does not download the map again

Do you any data besides Waze? Can you confirm how much data Waze uses?

They have CDMA option which run on Sprint, and now they also have a GSM sim card which run concurrently on AT&T and T-Mobile.
On CDMA the free plan offers 500MB but on GSM the free plan is only 200MB.

Thanx, so it's basically I get my own phone and download the freedom pop app ?
