Samsung should sell Vanilla phones. Actually would be awesome if all phone carriers offered some stock Android options.
The Galaxy S4 had a Google Play Edition (I believe HTC did it with HTC One too), they were pretty much "Vanilla" Android, I'm guessing it didn't work out very well since it wasn't done again. FWIW nobody offers stock Android, even Google Pixel phones deviate from the actual Android source code (AOSP)

Good question. Guess we'll see how long my Note Edge will hold out.
How does the battery life on the note compare to the V20?

Average Screen-On-Time?

I've gone back to my Note Edge for now. I will miss double-tap for turning the screen off though.
Why don't you just use this app so that you can turn off your phone with a single tap ?

Too many crashes, especially when using Gallery, but also some other apps.
Still no batteries for sale directly from LG/Verizon.
Not thrilled about losing FoxFi Wi-Fi.

Interesting. I've never had a single app crash. Foxfi wifi never worked for me on sprint

For anyone looking to get a LGV20 (or LG G5) from Sprint they are having a great offer coming up to get a free 43" LG smart TV when you purchase the phone.

I use that on my Edge all the time, but it's not as cool as clicking anywhere.

Speaking about that, why are they still not selling them directly?

V20 battery life was amazing.
Thanks!

I have to choose one large screened (5.7"+) phone to buy, with the only requirements being

1. Removable battery.
2. Good battery life.
3. No obvious stutters/crashes when using multiple apps.

Is this the only option?

Don't want the note edge, as I'm worried Samsung will ruin it with updates (like my current note 4), or not update it at all.

It would be nice for me to be able to buy it direct from At&t, as 3rd party phones do not support wifi calling, and this phone is used in a basement very often.

If you're willing to forgo on the removable battery go with the Google Pixel XL. Def worth a look.
And it does have quick charge if that helps.

Seems like nothing else exists.
PS, I had both the Verizon LG G4, and the international edition. The Verizon software was much more prone to crashing and battery drain was ridiculous.

Hoping that your software issues were only because if that.

Did it take time to get used to how much taller the V20 is?

Not worth the price.

I wouldn't say the battery life is "meh". But it is pricey. And it's missing features not found on other phones but it's by far the smoothest, cleanest Android phone out there. And that camera is pretty great as well :)
