I know a few guys who are stuck in Frankfurt for shabbos

Flew ewr-fra on wed night with the guy who was in charge of J&F on the Uman charter. He told me most most pax were rebooked via fra lhr etc. He was working the whole way, refunding the others.
It sounded like there were other issues than landing permits.......

Issue here is Heimishe companies acting with reckless abandon. They should have done more due diligence and taken out insurance against something like this  (Yes, thats possible)

I would think that there's not the equivalent demand to justify the fuel, airport fees, flight crew, and logistics. However, the comparable flights on LY and DL are over $2600...
