Amazing TR, pics and writeup!

One note to those planning a Lava biking trip:
There are quite a few bikes available with gel padded or memory foam seats. Getting those will make all the difference!

You can call Kalapana cultural tours and ask them to hold a bike for you.

(I learned this the hard way, as you did...)

Amazing! You're making awesome memories for the kids and I feel that they gain so much from these kinds of trips!

Too bad we couldn't meet up, my fam had very specific agendas for our (too short) time! I guess all the turtles were following is, we couldnt believe how many we came across, specifically near two-step.

Glad you enjoyed the seahorse farm, I wasn't sure about it so we skipped it. Maybe next time

Wow. Thank you. We're going in November and have small children. You have really inspired me to know that I can give our kids a wonderful cultural experience and they can see some of the natural wonders this island has to offer. I really prefer to show them a more organic experience rather than a completely Resort based experience.

Just got to reading this... really a great report! Fun, enjoyable, looks like you guys had a great time. You always make it seem so easy to travel with kids. :) Boy those lava pictures as well as the rest are quite remarkable.
