You wanna vouch for me? I haven't been on here very long so I wouldn't have anybody to vouch for me, doesn't mean I don't have more knowledge and understanding about keeping things quiet than others who have been here longer. I've put in many days of reading on here and other places since I started in this game, I didn't really start posting regularly for over a year. How would you have a good way to vet people who really do deserve to be there? Unless you just kept it among the top people in which case what have you gained by having a DDS?
Good question, but I don't think it's too hard to make some friends over a few months... Most of it happens behind the scenes: PMs etc.

Right now it's a landslide yes, but the day after the forums will be fuming about everything that got killed. You can't win.
Not everything can be killed. I'm just looking to learn the basics, which I may have missed

I think that's what a lot of us are looking for, some more "formal" education to fill in the gaps and to expand our knowledge base.

Example?
"LESS IS MORE" It is the cumulative effect that kills deals!!! How many times do I have to say this?  >:(

Example?
getting the best value on award tickets. Not necessarily any shticks that are involved (not that I would turn that down). Most of it I've learned from spending hours plowing through the forums but I'm sure I'm still missing a very good chunk. That is just one very small example.

Example of things getting killed is what I was asking.

This is a very good point. I spend a lot of time "browsing" the forums but can't seem to get a grasp on award bookings. A seminar based solely on that would be fascinating to me. Travel agents I'm sure would not be happy with tons of ppl knowing the ins and outs of how to book though

The options in the poll are a bit odd. It should probably be:
  • Absolutely!
  • What for? I know everything already.
  • No! You'll kill whatever is left.
  • Who cares? There's nothing to spill left.
  • Been to one but would go again.
  • Not interested at all. (Why exactly are you here??)

(Not exactly this, but something around these lines.)

Just my .02
(I don't see why "there's nothing to spill left" is a reason for "what for?")

I'd love a seminar in Baltimore (and I know several others that would as well)!

Seems like a pretty good place to have one, it's relatively central and it hasn't had one yet. (I am biased though as traveling there would be extremely easy for me)

I'm reviving this thread even though I know it won't do us any good. I wish Dan would just come out and say one way or another whether another DDS is even a remote possibility or not.

he's said a few times that he most likely won't be doing anymore (I'm sure TimT will find them)

I think I'm retired. Probably 60% of the seminar slides are garbage by now.
Though he could always pull a Brett Favre

Anyone plan on joining Dan in Whistler?
