Rumors of Chase SPG Card
« on: September 16, 2016, 04:40:39 AM »
From Reddit

"So I had gone to chase branch to open a new checking account and the banker was pretty chatty. I have been going to the same branch for a year now and she was like did you open the reserve, I did too but i didnt receive the priority pass in the mail yet.
Then I asked her if she combined her pull to get another card. And she said she was over 5/24, so I told her about Hyatt that is when she said that she is waiting for the new Starwood card in February which will blow the Hyatt benefits out of the water. I dont know how reliable this is but take it with pinch of salt."

Thoughts? I'm pretty  doubtful.

Makes sense due the merger, but I am afraid the good old Spg days will be gone by then.

If they're really rolling out a new card, it wouldn't make sense if they're planning on scrapping the starwood brand.

Asked a few people that would likely know and they haven't heard anything. I'd suspect the merger would need to be approved first.
