Do I just print out the confirmation of my interview scheduled? that plus a passport and piece of mail. can someone let me know if im missing anything?

Just a report on this.

I applied and got confirmation in about 2 weeks. I made an appointment for a week later at EWR. I showed up a half hour before my appointment and they took us right in. They asked us for a passport and licence. They did not ask for mail for proof of address. (I guess a licence is good enough) They then scanned my fingers and asked a few simple questions. The whole thing took 10 minutes.

Doesn't mean its always like that. They did ask me.

Yes. Just go into any enrollment location (no need for an apt) only takes a few minutes.

appt is needed -- no locations take walk-ins for new GE. Maybe just a renewal.

you are lucky that you got an appt one week out. Some airports are booked 3-4 months out.

I didn't get an appt. I had a Walk in at BWI. I'm wondering if my friend can do the same at lax

Yup. No1 was in line in BWI. They said come in from 1pm-6.

i applied for a friend and forgot to include his middle name. is there anything i can do about it at this point? will it be a problem at the interview?

According to the GE officer I met he said nope it's worthless. He calls it the worthless card.
