New York - More Travelers Sign Up For Airport Programs, Only To Wait  - http://www.vosizneias.com/240986/2016/06/09/new-york-more-travelers-sign-up-for-airport-programs-only-to-wait/?utm_campaign=shareaholic&utm_medium=whatsapp&utm_source=mobile

If you can imagine, it's even worse than portrayed in this article.
In Boston, the earliest appointment available is February 17, 2017.
Just ridiculous.

rightaway for Tsa pre-check and 2-3 days later for actual global entry (as soon as you get the card)

Thanks. Getting conflicting reports from agents at JFK.
I trust fellow DDFers more than them though.

it has been stated a few times here, (by myself as well) that you don't need the GE card to use GE for flying into the US, while this is true, in me recent experience at US pre clearance at a Canadian airport, the security line refused me entry to the priority line (it was not a precheck line, it was a trusted traveler line) until I produced the GE card which I did have buried in my carry-on

Canadian security lately added a benefit of "like" TSA Pre√ for GE members (Nexus members had it for a while), but that you need the card as it doesn't go on the BP

interesting, because my BP said precheck, if there's no precheck on this route, why did they add it?
there was only 2 lines, the regular and this line for trusted travelers (says both Nexus and GE), diplomats and disabled, no mention of priority, business, gold member etc.

I found JFK to be much more relaxed than Newark. Like about going in earlier, coming late, not driving you nuts during interview etc. They were just nicer about it there all around.

Yup. But Check back every so often because people cancel and their appointment opens up, but it will only be there for a little bit until someone "chapps" it. I constantly see them coming and going.

Same reason that DL printed TSAPCHK on my BP TLV>JFK
