nope, but I spoke to some other ppl who has the same problem, also no criminal record. I'm not sure why, the application seemed to be approved, just it never went to the step of allowing me to get an appointment or even put in my credit card info. I kinda gave up on it, I could probably reapply though

Umm, I'm not sure if the system was different a year ago, but now, you put in the CC when you do the initial application...

Go back into the application, click next, next next etc until you get to the last page and see if it gives you the payment page.

Maybe that's what's holding you up? (That you didn't pay yet).

They refund both.
Once you apply it can take abt 8 weeks for your application to get reviewed. Once reviewed you go in for an interview and assuming it goes well, you have GE.

the ge is the is the best thing, I recently arrived at JFK huge crowd, walked straight through (never felt so good ahhhh those stares) picked up my baggage & waited 55 min for the wife, so I would even pay for it

My wife just got plat. We are flying dec 31. But I want ge when I fly and I don't think if I apply for nexus I will get it on time. So can I apply for just ge now and in a couple months get plat for me and apply for nexus even though I already have ge?

When I (rightfully) skipped the line after picking up my baggage, I was being yelled at by some very frustrated people waiting on the line (line was HUGE!).

It felt amazing to be able to skip that huge line, but it wasn't a good feeling with all those people thinking I'm just skipping the line for no good reason (though I did shout back that I'm part of something called Global Entry, but they didn't want to hear!).

They should have a line just for GE, but it seems to me that I was the only one with GE out of hundreds of people, so I guess there's not enough GE members to have a line?, idk.

When I got my global entry card, the customs guy told me that global entry is for under 18 is free. However, I tried to apply for my kids today, and the website wanted me to pay the same 100 fee. Has anyone ever gotten for free for kids? How recently?

I know that nexus is free for under 18 and it lasts for 5 years from applying (AFAIK)

Of course, Nexus is on top of having GE, and it's been discussed earlier that Amex pays for the Nexus as well. Though by the time you are ready to apply for Nexus, make sure your wife is on a new Plat, so that they'll pay for the Nexus too (in addition to the GE now)
