That is good to know. Wasn't sure on that. Either way am making appt's for the kids because you just never know when you might ravel internationally with the family.

If I have global entry from about 3 years ago but want to make use of my new platinum card now to extend for longer than the original 5 years, can I do that? If so, how?

Do not think it is possible until a few months before renewal

what documents do I need for the interview? the site wont tell me unless I schedule an interview, which I didnt do yet.

Passport and possibly proof of address. They asked me for it and let me do it anyway once I told them that I forgot it.

B) What is the shortest it has taken?

1-3 days for pre-approval, then you have to schedule an interview

One of mine took 2 weeks. other is still pending.

I apologize in advance if I missed this upthread. I applied for GE and then never scheduled an appointment. Unfortunately I now see I don't have the option online Bec of the 30 day rule which sadly I did not know about. Does anyone know if I have options here?

I can call them but idk if that will help. I can also get the prestige and apply again but I'm not sure if that is an option either. Any help is appreciated.
