I have unfortunately lost my tefillin on a recent trip (losing them likely in the UA lounge in Denver--Lost and Found reporting has not found them). Which means i'm in search of a new pair.
I saw on hasofer.com that their Gassot tefillin ranges from lchatchilla to lchatchilla+ to mehudar 3-9*. Does anyone have experience with hasofer or know of a good place to get tefillin that will last a long time but that im not losing an arm and a leg for?

It's really important to buy from someone you know as a G-D fearing Jew.
If you don't know any who sell Tefillin, ask a G-D fearing Rabbi for a recommendation. Browsing online really isn't a good way to find quality Tefillin.
I'm rather well versed in the industry and there are countless ways for dealers to scam you in ways you will never be able to find out about.
If you do buy based on recommendations from an online forum, I do know the people behind esofer.com and can vouch for them being G-D fearing Jews.
