BTW, no one cares about your phone number, it's just your email where people send their inquiries about deals they missed out because of your broken email server and other impotent issues. Try it and you'll see. And you won't be able t try it with google voice. GV is something people will abuse. Just post your real number on on DD at the bottom of your email address and add in red lettering for emergencies only and I am sure you'll be good. All and all, whatever the reason is, it's your call and you choose not to be with us. Your loss.

You can either take the initiative and start one, which may or may not take off, or swallow your pride and PM someone you know is a member a request to join, which may or may not be granted.

If guys are interested in replicating, it's really not terribly difficult to do. If 2 or 3 guys make reservations, you will instantly have others joining.  If you ponder and wonder and discuss you won't get anywhere.

Identify a hotel, book a few rooms for this weekend, post a maximum # of attendees based on the space available for eating/davening, and then just start co-coordinating who will bring food, paper goods, siddurim, etc etc.

This weekend is a holiday weekend and most people are off on Friday. Just take it and run with it. I'm pretty positive that if 2-3 people start it it will snowball. Your biggest issue will be trying to calm the masses of people who want to join that you have no room for.

If someone is seriously ready to arrange something PM me and I'll give you some guidance based on how we arranged ours.

As a tag-along, I'd like to add that I def would not of chose that place as my first choice, which is what most of this thread is about. Arguing over a place.
Once it was firm, with ppl confirmed going, I was more than happy to join.

Someone else pm him and decide on location.
Once location decided, book.
Post here that you booked in xyz city and you're gonna limit it to x amount of guys.
Start a whatsapp group for whoever joins.
Plan between yourselves all the nitty gritty details.

Be willing to just go alone if nobody else joins.

I'll be 100% honest. IMHO the reason it was able to work out so well, is because most of the people there met each other previously and knew each other. I don't think I'd go to a random shabbos DO with someone I literally met online and have no clue who they are.

So if you've never been to a DO and have no clue who anyone else is, don't expect to be invited to a shabbos DO. How should I know that I can trust your karshrus? DDF has the benefits of having people from all spectrums and everyone has their own opinion regarding kashrus.
