Its 40 feet. The 2 bedroom suite is like 46 feet but we declined that upgrade, it was just too big.

So did you get the larger room??? The standard is 10sqm per the website (though they prob don't include the steps area). Agree that it's plenty of space for a couple. The royal oceanfront has the circular pool with a pedestal dining table  , though I'd prefer the lap pool to that.

I didnt want the Conrad as I thought the W's rooms looked nicer.
I wanted to stay in a place Yidden stayed previously.
Park Hyatt was too nebby for me.
Gili Lankafushi/Constance Halaveli was my second choice
I thought I would have SPG plat status by now which I dont

Mind if I ask what exactly rubbed you as "nebby"  regarding the PH?

its not nebby, but when compared to the other hotels available its nebby. of course its an excellent hotel.

open 3 browsers & look at the over-water rooms.

FWIW many Maldivian employees (pilots etc) & some who have seen the St. Regis told me that its hands down the nicest hotel in the Maldives once it opens.

OWBs have poor AC and no pools for starters.
It wasn't built as a PH, was a takeover of another hotel.

I saw that. Just wanted to make sure i saw correct. Because my understanding was that the W is way more expensive when paid in cash. I guess not

OWB's go from 90k SPG per night to 120k
Just wasnt worth it.
