Maybe I missed something. What did he turn his kid into?
If your 6 year old son wants to play dressup in a princess dress, would you:
A. Chalk it up to kids being silly.
B. Tell him that boys shouldn't wear dresses.
C. Talk to him about transgender concepts.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Though I'm taking that Dan is implying the kid was led there. That may be true. I have no idea who this guy is or his kid and how old they are. I do remember watching a Barbara Walters special on this year's ago and thinking it may not be so simple. You can not lead a kid but it seems to me some of these kids have real confusion (I don't know if that's the right word) regardless if you push them or not.

But I agree to some extent with this concept that if the option exists you may have kids choosing a path they wouldn't normally "need".

And yes, I feel worse for the kid.

It is a crazy world we live in.

I sure hope not but he can speak for himself. Why would any parent lead their child to be transgender?

Guys, Bottom line.
We Must respect one another. No Exceptions
There is a world of a difference between respect and condone. Allowing a child whose practices are an antithesis to what you are teaching in the school regarding halacha and tznius and "accommodating " them is condoning.
Why is it understood that a Jewish school doesn't have to accommodate a Christian child by admitting them and allowing them to openly practice their religion, but somehow accommodating transgender individuals is required?

Should a Jewish school be allowed to turn a away a child just because he is Christian?

I actually was quite careful not to say that. I said "openly practice their religion"

The issue is not a closet transgender child. If you look at OP, it was advocating public accommodation. Which, IMHO, equals condoning.

It wasn't a trick question. The reason I asked because there a lot of non-Catholics that go to a Catholic school.

and if a Protestant child would go around taking down every picture or icon that's on the wall I'm sure the school would be justified in expelling him.
I also would expect that no court would require the Catholic School to make reasonable accommodations for the Protestant Child by taking down every offending picture on the wall and requiring them to teach to pray in English not Latin

As long as the school doesn't accept federal funding, they are within their rights to deny enrollment to someone of a different religion, IINM.

That is to be expected considering that they would love to make them Catholics

He turned his kid into that. Feel bad for the kid, not him.
Where are you taking this from?

How does that apply to the transgender issue?

I suppose we can convince the transgender female that he's really a transgender male.
If you don't care why would you comment?

Is that why your new signature is a ghost? Since those are Ayin V'Efes Mamash?
