Wasn't the whole issue with soft images being attributed to lack of focus?
The focus is the main culprit, but even when focused properly the image is still sorter than the P4. In-camera sharpening could mitigate that to an extent.
It's important to remember that the test above is at 600% - to see that in real life your monitor will need to be something like 10 feet across and 24k resolution. In real life the footage will look perfectly sharp. The sharpening discussed here applies only to heavy crops or to still images, and only if you're more interested in the technicalities of the camera than in actually producing good imagery.
As long as you focus properly you could safely ignore that test. Yes, the P4 seems sharper, but not particularly in a way that most people will ever notice.
