New from DJI today:

Mavic Pro Platinum: same as the original but with 11% more flight time and much quieter operation.
Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian: Same as the original, but in a new color (which is not obsidian ::)). Yay.

Existing Mavic owners will be able to use the Platinum's new propellers, which will give them some of the noise reduction benefits.

Also, the new Phantom 5 is supposedly being announced at InterDrone next week.

$100 price increase for a extra 3 minutes of flight time? Meh.

Indeed. But it'll come down to the regular Mavic's price soon I believe.

But it may be worth it just for the Plat status

the dji phantom 4 drone has there been reports of it crashing? my brother was using his and  the propeller fell off and then the battery came out as I watched it fall and nearly miss a car windshield how did that happen? if this is common it can cause fatalities. we weren't not using this properly. and  my brother knows how to fly it. Now that we cant find the battery because it fell out in midflight will dji replace the battery?
