I know this has been going back and forth...Does Credit card protection cover drones or not?

What card? What do you want it to be excluded under?

A basic google search people claim that CC won't cover damage or loss because it falls under "motorized". If it is covered why buy insurance?

Pretty sure that would be insurance fraud, but IANAL. Why didn't you file with Chase first?
Won't a claim with an insurance company raise your insurance rates for other services?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I saw some language on chase side that you need to file with insurance first. also chase is max 500  it shouldnt have an effect on other policies, its not connected- statefarm said that and my auto people said that, i dont have any other statefarm policies, i will have someone check the insurance claims database and then will find out if it has an effect on my auto or home

I spoke to my auto and home guy and he said he has never seen personal articles policies affect home or auto rates. he was confident i wont have any issues, I guess time will tell if he is correct or not. In the mean time, I bought a new mavic, with my new amex platinum MB card- any reason to get insurance now? if something happens in the next 3 months I can file a claim with amex and at the end of 3 months get another statefarm policy

Any feedback on the process? Were they difficult to deal with?

Has anyone else filed a claim with State Farm yet and could report on the experience?

What are the key differences between the Mavic Pro and the Mavic Air? I'm seeing a solid price difference, and a slightly shorter flight time with the Air, but am having trouble finding a solid side by side of the specs. I don't need pro grade pics and vids, just want high quality which it seems I'll be getting regardless. TIA

I have the pro but if you don’t care much about pro grade pics then I’d probably get the Mavic Air fly more package. Considering getting it as well! They have some cool flight video features that the Mavic pro doesn’t and  it seems to be much more portable then the pro.

The quality is lower? From the little I saw it seemed that the Air was equal or better for everything.

That's what I've been seeing. I would be taking amateur pictures/videos and all for personal use. Does it fly as well as the pro? Has anyone tested them both? @SF?

Should fly just as well from the several reviews I’ve read and people I’ve spoken to. As for the image quality I don’t know if it’s better or worse but if you don’t care about pro grade image then I’m sure you’ll be fine with whatever comes out on either the Pro or the Air.

Gotcha. Thanks for the response. Thinking about using the Amazon 20% off for $100 off a drone
