To all the folks out there who have been denied for the ba card...TAKE HEART!!!I was denied like all the rest of us and after calling a few times the Application reconsideration number I was told that I would have to prove my income etc... So I called the credit analyst number (1888-245-0625) and first they told me exactly what I was been told till now. I got another phone call and I hung up without even saying bye. After I finished my phone call I receive a phone call from Chase. The guy basicaly told me that I didnt give him a chance to finish his sentence (!) and they can approve me for 5,000 if I answered a few 'security' questions!

Why would they all of a sudden approve u? Especially after calling so many times and being denied.  Do u think it had something to do with hanging up on him?

Btw do u have other chase cards?

Of course. It's officially limited to once per (primary) account-holder.

The offer ended on may 5th so you will have to wait till there is another offer like this for your wife to apply

Ok, so you pay the 95$ annual fee. Once the mileage is deposited, what do you guys plan to do with your card? I went through a fr 18 months ago, went from 30+ thousand credit, and I closed all my Amexs, leaving me with just 5K credit on AAdvantage MCs(1 personal 1 business). Now I got approved(finally!) for this card with over 6k line. I don't want to have to pay yearly fees if I don't hang onto it. Any suggestions???

You can always convert it to a card that doesn't have fees.

I dont see the post on the main site anymore. where can i find all the numbers to the recon department?
[general request to Dan: can you please keep all expired posts on the main site, and just deactivate the links? theres so much info in the comments that should not go to waste...]

It's there.  That's why there's a search engine on the site, use it!
Similar to when you post a thread on the forums in the wrong place and it's moved-use the search engine before accusing people of removing things.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

thanks. just found it.
1) i did obviously try the search option first, but did not find it at first, (lets face it: its not the best search engine out there)
2) i'm relatively new to the forums, still figuring things out. give me some slack....

Slack granted.  Just be careful before you J'accuse if you're not prepared for the response.
You can also search the site or forums on google with
site:dansdeals.com
or
site:dansdeals.com/forums
if you don't care for the regular engines.

It works fine, but you have to know how to use it. Searching on the main page searches all the forums, searching only one forum (e.g. this page) searches just that forum (category), searching within a thread (e.g. this page) only searches the posts in that thread.

i applied and got a letter denying me bec of to many credit requests. i called 888-270-2127 asked why i was denied. she said it says to many requests for credit but that isnt so bad let me see what i can do (all i asked was y i was denied, did not try to convince her). came back on asked few questions about my job (wrote self employed) and put it through and was approved.

my friend applied and got the message that it will be processed and he'll hear back...then he hit the 'back' button and got a message saying that the application was cancelled...was it really?
