Hurricane is רוח מצויה in Florida.

If that was halachically true then FL Sukkahs would be really interesting…

Everybody I know says Florida is the brand to avoid for Sukkos. Might work for other outdoor activities, but not for a Sukkah. I'll pass.
That brand is so hot you need an AC to counteract it.
Hard pass.

Works well in leap years. All other years, you're right.

Growing up in NY we had heaters in the sukkah. But that was before the climate changed.

The one Sukkos I ever spent in Kfar Chabad, I was trying to find who had the proper thinking to actually have AC in the Sukkah. I found one person only (though I was told of one more).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Seems like this year we might have the climate change back again.

This is the one thing I'll miss about my old wooden sukkah, I'll have to figure out a system to support it in my new modular one (but at least I won't have to deal with it this year ;D)
There was a discussion about adding an air conditioner to a sukkah somewhere else this year, now that my idea worked, I'll :
I put a piece of 1 x 2 in the front to prevent it from slipping forward:

And a vertical piece of 2 x 4  for support underneath and one on top (horizontal) to lean on

Then, I made a removable mini-panel for cooler years.

I hated coats and sweaters in the Sukkah, and in the first few years I owned my home we had heaters in the Sukkah. But then climate change happened (especially in most recent years where we BH had mostly dry times in the Sukkah).

The heater is great! used strong zip ties to strap to side of sukkah. keep in mind these types of heaters only heat those directly under the infrared light. doesnt help those on the side (not that sukkahs offer much insulation).

Which is why I really don't like these kinds of heaters. Need something that blows hot air.

Huh? There's no difference between eating when it's dry to eating in the rain? (See one of the Lubavitch מנהגים threads).

Takeh, why are most willing to eat inside when being mitztaer regarding rain, but not regarding too hot, too cold, etc?

When you take care of the rain problem, you don't have a sukkah (pashtus), But you can take care of the heat/cold issues and have a sukkah mehuderes.

Also, when it comes to rain the 'גמ gives a clear geder of what's considered mitztaer, when it comes to the other things, it boils down to how'd you react if this situation was in your home.
