For sleeping you can just turn the בכח into בפועל.

Definitely makes me feel less guilty when I'm forced to sleep indoors.

An idea I've been entertaining is to install a cheap split unit and that would help for both heat and ac(runs $500-900 on amazon) the only issue is that it has to be hardwired. If anybody has done this and has a work around would love to hear!

I've had something like this hooked to my natural gas line... just not sure which exact model

not worth the headache for 7 days of use

Yes, but it was very hot right in front of the heater..... (where it was blowing)
We had it on a thermostat so it wasn't on all the time
