Hotel Deals
« on: October 20, 2016, 02:46:18 PM »
A gut moed
I am looking for a few people to vouch for a new part of my travel website for the lower hotel rates..
Kind of a beta test.

The hotel rates we have in the private area are significantly lower than all the sites Trivago searches. We are looking for real testimonials.

You will have full free access, and if you like what you see, then I will ask for a testimonial.  I am pretty sure you will like it.

Since  visasavingsedge.com  stopped the rebate...
Is it still worth to buy 5k per month for the chase points ?
You can buy 24 cards per month @ ~207.00 to load 5k on bluebird
that 24,840 points per month-
If I sell the points @ .015 — thats $372
I lose $7 per card to pay off Chase = $168
Net gain per load = $204

Not sure how that translates into points

Did I miss anything here?

I see the prices for a hotel I need for 2 nights in Eatontown NJ is cheaper then everywhere I looked(travelocity,hotels.com, priceline!) but here the tax is more then 15% so it makes up for the price difference! So what exactly am I suppose to find at a discounted rate?

Are the flights at a discount as well?

It would seem taxes could be different depending how each site tabulates it. However, the base hotel rates are cheaper when you compare?

Flights are competitive.

I just looked @  your example

1. the taxes are not more.
2. There is an  added fee of about $10.00
3. I am asking my supplier about this.

This is the bottom line from what I see now...

On the cheaper rooms which Eatontown has,  that fee will bring the final rate up to where you looked.  I also checked, and the bottom line was we were still $2.00  cheaper.  But that to me is not acceptable, to lower the front end and make it up on backend.

I know for a fact that other hotels where the margin is bigger, the extra  10$  is negligible.

It is not a scam, since there are savings. And some are really a lot.

Give me a bit to find out if they will make adjustments.
