Afaik that's the only way. But do you plan on having a website or only buying the domain so you can have that email?
Only for the email. I have a few domains that i do this for with no site attached.

So that's what I'm asking. Why not use a regular email.

I personally always check the domain of an email to see the website.

What do you mean by regular email? gmail acct?

1) I always want to own the website of my business name. Even if I dont have the need for a site right now. Last thing I need is having a competitor snatch it for $1 and redirect business.
2) It looks more professional to have whacked1@whacked1.com rather then whacked1@gmail.
3) I want to own employees emails. I dont wnat them using their personal email
4) The cost is very efficient

Buy the domain from https://www.namesilo.com/

Are they any better than namecheap.com?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Try this link in incognito.

So 1st year is C$0.99 but Renews at C$24.99/yr

For some reason, I feel better about just getting from a place that charges $9/yr including renewals.

Google Domains is around $12 then email is free connected right into Gmail. You could buy GSuites but no reason if looking for basic stuff.

Actually showed up for me as C$15.48 for two years.
C$30 for 3 years
C$60 for 5 years
I would have done it if not for that I already bought the domain with Google.

I've found that namesilo is usually the same price or cheaper than namecheap. Overall I think they are the cheapest well established registrar

You can always transfer out. If that's too tedious (and it's not an important website), you can wait for the year to end and it expires, then reissue with whichever site you'd like.
