Yup. Timing is good and both connections r just under 4 hours (w decent lounges), but a 15 hour flight I'm sure is super rough w kids, even if they all have seats (and my mom comes along). I just can't justify spending 600k or so points for business class, but I may do israel/Europe over this before shabbos.

Wouldn't. 19k points I think more would (especially w families where j is very expensive, even on points). Keep in mind w personal platinum and sq earning it's even cheaper. There also is a chance you can drop the bkk leg if you don't want to take it, but AYOR.

I agree that 19k is extremely cheap but dont tell me 38k RT to asia is not cheap as well. If you use miles that is 70k RT on most airlines and you have to find availability

These deals aren't available every day. But many are, and 9+ seats.

My point is only that it's usually fairly easy to find cheap revenue fares to Asia, especially if you're willing to do an open jaw.

Yup, but not as often on ua ticket stock, from NYC with only one stop, and to decent cities. Also I haven't seen so many sub 400s (skyteam had some good China sales recently).

Right, this is definitely an amazing deal, I'm not denying that, I'm just saying that $760 isn't that cheap in terms of revenue fares. FT has a entire thread dedicated to these fares and they're consistently sub $450 although they usually involve multiple connections.

The Asia OJ's have been working for the last 3 years at least. (Sometimes the BF's fluctuate making it a bit more expensive).


Every couple of months SF posts it. It's a miracle it hasn't been killed yet.

exactly the sub 450 deals are not one stop. 760 is a chea price for a 1 stop itinerary and 380 is amazing
