What's going on with trees being cleared away in the lot next door to Super Stop, near Chestnut St.?

Who the hell is this 1st amendment lunatic. Someone should tell him to get a job. Alternatively, write about things that are important with preferably fewer hyperbole.

He has actually said so himself. Give me a job and you won't hear from me.

Garbage dump is a big issue

It is not a garbage dump. It is only 33,000 square feet, smaller then most warehouses in the industrial park. It is a transfer station, no different then what exists by the DPW and the Ocean County transfer station on New Hampshire. they don't smell, and are mostly viewed as a convenience.

The article I read stated that the township will likely switch from using PRIVATE CONTRACTORS to this transfer station. I think if we would know who the private contractors are that will be losing the business, it would shed some light on why there is so much faux outrage about it.

Why is the Township giving away free taxpayer land not important to taxpayers, this is part of a trend where the Township gives away land to the connected.

Akerman makes his opinion heard again in this week's Yated. He says that he doesn't think there should be more zoning without equivalent ideas to ease traffic. Lets make this guy mayor.

That's definitely different than what the article was saying. Maybe that's because the grammar was so bad...

You got to separate the facts from the editorial, particularly with TLS. Think about, 33,000 square feet for a garbage dump, what is that, like one weeks worth of ocean county garbage? did you ever hear of an indoor garbage dump?

The article was intentionally mis-leading to forward some individuals agenda. Someone stands to lose some money on the deal, I would suspect either someone who currently has the contract for this garbage, or someone who owns land directly next door. If it was in Lakewood, it wouldn't be an issue, the new townhouses with a scenic view of the DPW, as well as an office building with the same view, have all sold/leased.

Or just maybe someone else was hoping to get that land for free for a different use...
